Fire again find the magic at RFK.

The Chicago Fire apparently have the formula to win at RFK Stadium.

They bent a little, never leaked and took advantage of their opportunities to hold back D.C. United in a 2-0 victory on a slick turf at the venerable old grounds.

The Fire continued their stifling defensive play and jumped one point ahead of Columbus into first place in the Eastern Conference after seven games. Their 5-1-1 record surpasses the team's best seven-game start in team history (5-2, 1999). [more]

We are Ladder 97, here to support the Mighty Fire in any way we can. At any given time that could include drinking, singing, screaming, bellowing vulgarities, burning smoke bombs and flares, intimidating the visiting fans - whatever it takes.

Those among us, understand. Those who don't, are not among us. The name Ladder97 is probably self explanatory, but, for those who don't know, Ladder represents the mighty fire fighters who we have the utmost respect for, 97 refers to the year the Chicago Fire came to be.

Supporting the Fire isn't just about a group of casual fans who get together once in a while to watch futbol - it's a passion that drives us to wait for each season enthusiastically ready to rough it up and let our players know that we're out there for them, doing what we can to inspire them to do what they do best - beat the hell out of the other teams!
